2+2 words about myself :)
When I was six I began taking music lessons (and continued until 8th grade). It was a pain for both my accordion and my neighbors. I poisoned the environment with my exercises, sang in a choir at school, hopped in a rhythmic class, houled in music theory class, slept during music history classes – it’s as though I’ve received a musical education.
Then I took up playing harp and guitar, then Beatles. Soon tambourines and other instruments went into play when I myself began kicking it off in different bands.
At 14 I began singing and playing in restaurants, although I was not supposed to until reaching 16. Then the pro’s put me behind the mixing console – I liked it. From that moment on I sit here and feel the everlasting love for all sorts of amplifiers, crossovers, alcohol (for technical purposes, of course! :). Numerous festivals, tours, concerts in remote villages, disco. I also worked at state run theatres, worked with different actors and singers. At that time I became familiar with television production and radio broadcasting; I spent more time in the studio than at home, and toured more than worked :) I traveled with various groups throughout USSR from St. Petersburg to Alma-Ata, also went to GDR and Poland. The most famous group that I got to work with was Pesnyari – Of Belarusian State Philarmonic. I also worked in Moscow – State TV Broadcasting Ostankino, Stadium Luzgniki, Record Label Melodia. I was present at Lissa, Music lifts of sorts etc., bohemian evenings, art gatherings – I can’t really remember all without a shot of vodka :) But to be honest – I don’t want to list here everybody I met on my way – I would inevitably forget someone, or else some of you might think I am coocoo – meaning I got off the road, like some of those names are completely over my head. And you see I don’t really care who we WERE, more like, who we ARE.
I came to Germany in 1992. At first like everyone else worked anywhere I could get paid and jumped from studio to studio. From 1996 to 2003 and from 2011 to 2013 worked at Atelier Musik und Synchron GmbH, a firm that mixes sound for video, movies (blue also). Our clients included Premiere, DF1, Beate Uhse, Kirch Media, Orion and others.
I've experience in editing (production) more than 1000 movies.
